Part-Time Tellers – The following branch location is currently seeking part-time tellers to provide exceptional service to our members:

• North County
• West County
• Bridgeton

Hours are generally 20-28 per week, with Saturday mornings required. These positions are strictly part-time but there is some potential for moving into a full-time position.

Requirements:

• 1 year of heavy cash handling experience, with teller experience a plus
• Exceptional customer service skills; friendly, upbeat personality
• Ability to multi-task, promote products and services
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Must be able to balance a cash drawer proficiently

Responsibilities:

• Process member transactions in an accurate, courteous manner
• Promote Vantage products and services
• Accurately balance and secure cash drawer daily
• Count, verify and package currency and coin
• Sell cashiers checks, travelers checks and money orders
• Cash checks, verifying identity, signature and availability of funds
• Follow all federal regulations and internal policies

Candidates must:

• Have a strong work ethic, professional appearance
• Be able to pass a background check including having a clean credit record
• Have a professional, pleasant and friendly manner
• Be dependable, available on most Saturday mornings

Part-Time Financial Services Representatives – We currently have openings at our Cave Springs location.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years experience, specifically in a credit union/financial setting
• Effective communication skills; ability to listen
• Excellent sales ability; good at cross-selling
• Organized and able to multi-task

Responsibilities:

• Interact with members to provide general credit information regarding lending policies and procedures
• Process loan applications and documents; correspond with members
• Compute new loan balances, terms, monthly payments, and insurance premiums, when necessary
• Meet/exceed monthly lending and cross-selling goals
• Audit new loans to verify accuracy of data
• Open new accounts
• Handle various clerical tasks

Mortgage Loan Originator  – We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator to join our Mortgage Solutions team.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in mortgage loan origination
• Understanding of mortgage processing and basic underwriting guidelines
• Ability to pre-qualify potential homebuyers by taking accurate and thorough loan applications
• Working knowledge of credit reports, DTI, LTV and CLTV ratios
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail and team oriented
• Outstanding customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Pull applications off the Internet and review for completeness and accuracy. Counsel and pre-qualify members applying for mortgages, by appointment if possible at a branch location convenient to the member(s).
• Perform preliminary analysis of mortgage applications.
• Assist with loan processing, as needed, to ensure proper documentation.
• Pull sales leads from website to generate loan applications. Call on realtors and builders to develop leads for mortgage applications.
• Be knowledgeable of underwriting criteria and pricing policies of investors used by Vantage Credit Union.
• Be knowledgeable of FNMA, FNLMC, VA, FHA underwriting procedures and mortgage lending regulations inclusive of RESPA, Truth-in-Lending, HMDA, ECOA.
• State Mortgage License strongly preferred–candidate must satisfy certain professional state-licensing requirements prior to engaging in loan origination activites within 30 days of employment.

Full-Time Collector —

Hours: M-F 9:00-5:30

• 1 late night/week (7:00 p.m.)
• Every other Saturday 9:00 a.m.-noon

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience in consumer or credit card collections
• Skip-tracing skills
• Good time-management skills
• Knowledge of state/federal regulations regarding collections
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Contact by telephone and collect from members whose accounts are more than 15 days delinquent.
• Investigate reasons given for failure to pay and evaluate the situation to determine borrower's ability to meet their future obligation.
• Locate delinquent borrowers whose whereabouts are unknown to the credit union.
• Provide necessary research in resolving problems with a member's account, correct discrepancies and advise member of outcome on a regular basis.
• Refer reposssession recommendations to repossession specialist in the department.
